It is quite common to see children named in a will who had previously been unknown, especially pre-censuses. - Or be named as a son or daur in a census, but not to be able to find the baptism.
When looking through the parish register on LDS film (1911 copy - as Frances wrote), you can sometimes find them with a badly handwritten surname, or simply "son (or daur) of ...", without a forename being given, or being baptised years after birth with several other children in the family.
Or perhaps the parents forgot to baptise a child (especially when they had many), or the clerk filled in the baptisms days later and forgot one.
All sorts of reasons!
