Hi Sally-Ann.
This does look like the same family in 1851 [from Brian Lawson's index]:
Dou 5, King Street John RADCLIFF Head Married 36 Constable & cordwainer Andreas
Dou 5, King Street Ann RADCLIFF Wife Married 25 Dressmaker Peel
Dou 5, King Street Thomas RADCLIFF Son 4 Peel
Dou 5, King Street Catherine RADCLIFF Daughter 2 Peel
Only problem of course is the different wives! My first thought was that Ann (Clark or Shimmin?) died between the 1851 and 1861 censuses, but I haven’t as yet found a burial for her. John would have been left with two small children to look after, when the somewhat older Margaret – relative or family friend – comes into the family? Just speculation.
Carol, can you see who a John Radcliffe b.c. 1815 in Andreas could have been, who we haven't put in another family? Not necessarily Croggane, because there could have been a non-Radcliffe relationship to the family.
