Well, that's that Ann out of the picture. Just to recap what I have : - John Kelly md Ann Mylrea in Malew 26 Nov 1844. They had 5 chn before she died aged 34 in Sept 1854 buried in Malew. I finally found her grave when I was on IOM . John's parents (as far as I know) were James Kelly/Isabella Quirk. Ann & John had 5 chn the first 2 were named Isabella 1845 died at 4 wks and James 1846 died aged 3 months. They then had John b 1848 a mason & died aged 29 in 1876. James b 1851 - my ancestor, & Robert b 1854 the year his mother died.
From the 1851 census when Ann was aged 31 & the age at her death, she must have been born 1820. I saw the marriage cert at MM & witnesses were Ann Shimmin (her X) and Thomas Hudson (his X). 8 mths after Ann died, John Kelly md Jane Ritson in Malew but she was from Marown.
In my notes I have 2 Ann Mylreas b 1820. One in German d/o Basil M /jane Garrett. One d/o William M / Jane Hall. I also have an Ann b c 1822 in Braddan d/o Thomas M / Margaret Cowin but that will be the Ann who moved off the island. There is also an Ann chr 1815/1816 in Braddan d/o John M /Elinor Corlett, who is 20 in the 1841 census with these parents. So far, there has been no 'lightbulb' moment for me as regards the Ann I need & so I unwillingly gave up on her . If I could just verify her parents my interest would return . Thanks for any help
