I, also, ran a search on Castle Garden and Ellis Island records, but found nothing on their arrivals in the U.S.

I no longer have a subscription to Ancestry records, but I tried running a search on their immigration & passenger records and found listings for both a Robert Peel and an Eleanor Kermode on Canada passenger index records.

Maybe someone with an Ancestry world subscription might be able to check Canada passenger records for you to see what years they arrived in Canada and to also check the Canada border crossings index to see if either of them entered the U.S. from Canada.
