Sylvia, The Mormons have microfilmed Goodwin's Geneological Scraps and have them alphabetically (by surname) on 2 reels. I don't know if the museums have them or not. If you have a nearby Family Hx Center you can rent the films for a modest sum.
Goodwin did a bunch of handwritten notations from a variety of records--divided by surname and once there by parish. All this was done before computers. I've found the sections on Cain(e) to be quite interesting and often helpful.
