Anyone remember this query? I found a newspaper account of this rescue. One of the lady's involved was called Charlotte Thurgar. There were two boys of about 12 years old involved in the rescue. The account mentions one of the boys receiving a Bible from Charlotte Thurgar. Perhaps there were two books given to two boys? Still a bit puzzling over names and dates ie the account seems to have mixed up the dates and has the names John Quilliam and "a boy named Corrin". My people were Mylchreests but their mother was a corrin so maybe the Corrin boy was my relation.
