I have an old book that appears to have been a present from a lady who was saved from drowning by one of my Mylchreests. It's a bit of a mystery to me as it's dedicated to a John Mylchreest and I can't locate a relative of this family called John Mylchreest. Anyhow can anyone shed any light on this incident. It involved a Charlotte Shurgar or Thurgar having a "narrow escape from drowning" at Port Erin, Isle of Man on August 22nd 1874.
