Re: CORLETTE TREE
In Response To: Re: CORLETTE TREE ()

Dear Ms. Coakley,
Sorry it has taken so long to get back, but have quite busy getting our granddaughter off to college. Now getting back to our discussion on the CORLETT/E line.
I thank you for giving me the data on the GALLERY, it is indeed EDWINA CORLETTE, she has e-mailed me and we shall start exchanging what we have in our trees, which for me shall be off THOMAS CORLETT, ANNE CORLETT'S father, Giblert CORLETT addressed in her will, Margaret QUIGGIN, and JONEY KELLY, and PATRICK CAINE, AND PATRRICK CAIN her grandson, and William QUIGGIN HER GRANDSON off MARGARET and ELINOR CAIN her daughter. JOHN CAINE her grandson. Again thank you for your help with finding Ms. Corlette.

Now to PATRICK CAIN, in your post of 21.6.2012 you wrote:

That there is NO link between ANNE CAIN and ADAM CAINE- thus you need to evaluate each will in its own right- the name MARGARET, PATRICK , etc are very common and shared by many, -KNOCKAN was in BALLAUGH AND THAT ADAM CAME FROM A LINE THERE.

In your C D, PARISH OF (Kirk Mary) BALLAUGH

BALLAUGH

BALLCAIN, Treen
1515 Man Roll Balycane
1643 Ballacaine
"Cain's farm(IR. Mac CATHDIN. In 1515 we WILLIAM McCANE involved in a suit against another Tennant, but his holding is not set down. In 1643 ADAM CAINE held part of GLEN DOO. Both of these were probabley decendants of the orginal holder.

You have all this in your MANX NOTEBOOK, then you have the ADAM CAINE OF BALLAUGH AND THE ADAM CAINE OF FOUR TOWNS- ORRISDALE two different ADAM CAINE'S. WITH DIFFERNET WIVES AT VARIOUS TIMES, FIVE WIVES I believe between the two I have counted.

BALLAUGH RECORDS missing, if we recall, so I have researched the wills, as you asked me to. You have to look at what you publish in the ManX Notebook.

ADAM TO AN ELNOR STOEN, which you state the TWINS PHILIP and PATRICK, Philip buried at BALLAUGH HIS FATHER ADAM CAINE FROM KIRK MICHAEL.
PATRICK CAINE REGISTERED IN BOTH BALLAUGH AND KIRK MICHAEL.

ADAM TO ANN CALLISTER THEIR children also PHILIP AND PATRICK born the same date??? You have for the Marriage to ELLINOR STOEN. Ballaugh, 1712/07/17 twins born, same date for ELINOR STOEN FOR TWINS PHIIP AND PATRICK.

Same twins to two different wives.
plus a MARGARET AND KATHERINE so how can two wives have the same twins???? All this data came out of your data CAINES OF KNOCKAN OF BALLAUGH / CAINES OF ORRIDALE AND WILLS.
You have him heir to SCRONDALL, BALLAUGH.
You stated Adam got the land through marriage to ELINOR STOEN, not true, our data, the CAINE/S had lands as far back 1500's, not by marriage.

Now as you see in the wills it is completely different

ADAM CAINE HAD NO PHILIP in his will in your MANX C D.

Data as you stated has to be correlated, each will evaluated in it's own right. Now you must do your work to straighten out the conflict of data.

I have copies of the wills.

Now to PATRICK BEING IRISH, new data, PATRICK by your post, date above, you state:

I strongly suggest your PATRICK descend from the SCOT-IRISH immigrant -emigration-catch is the Irish records are lost thus I believe FRANK TROWBRIDGE linked a computed birth year from the death of PATRICK SENIOR for a batism of a PATRICK s/o ADAM- I suggest every fact fits- the name COYNE, the route, the years,probabley 1720-1728 emigration at the only available dataset once IGI became readily available. We even had the DNA agrument in which ( before you requested that all your postings be removed) that your family had the gene found in the norther Irish Caine line and not the VIKING gene found in all MANX cains.

Now to address your statements:

We are not Irish,OUR PATRICK CAIN, now in new data, old, newly found, did not come over in 1720, in AUGUSTA COUNTY COURT RECORDS , he was a witness in a dispute listed as PATRICK CAIN, NOT COYNE, the war PATRICK COYNE, which was in the militia, which was not of our roots, which now we have made that through records, this action at court was dated SETEMBER 24 1755 BY 1762 he was in WAXHAW SETTLEMENT IN NC/SC. with ALICE AND PATRICK JR, WHO MARRIED MOLLY GRIFFIN, and ALICE married NATHANAEL WALKER. Then into ORANGBURH districk as surveryor and then in to BLACKVILLE/ BARNWELL where PATRICK JR, was killed by the TORRIES,in 1781 and PATRICK SENIOR lived until 1799 and died in BARNWELL.

Yes, the districk was called the IRISH-SCOT settlement, but there were ENGLISH,settlers ,for LEWIS AND WALKER the surveyours who taught PATRICK to be a surveyor was in the same settlement. it was a melting pot of immigrants.

DNA of NORSE by the study of CAINE is VIKING, even in the two studies, THE FAMILY DNA PROJECT, THE CREER ISLE OF MAN project, VIKING, NORSE groupings are there. THE VIKINGS RULED for 300 years, the people of the ISLE OF MAN would have to have NORSE BLOOD, they intermarried, they surely did not live a life of celibacy. EVEN IN YOUR POST on the FAMILY BOARD you state under the date of 31/5/2001 after a reply about VIKING BLOOD;

the post states;
Suspect much of 'blood" was actually from the outlying isles which the NORSE used as a staging post en-route from DUBLIN and the IOM- this would be a MINGLING OF NORSE-GAEL- however as Man has been buffeted by many incomers in the 1000 years since I suspect that "ALL MANX BORN CARRY GENES FROM THE NORSE."

So there you have it. Your own words. I went to the JOHN CREER study, 3 CAINES have been involved in the study, in his study by his circular graph, he puts that 21% of the MANX MALE POPULATION A PROABLE SCANDINAVIA VIKING ORIGIN.

I do have new data, that MARGARET QUIGGIN, made quite a ancestry of wonderful ancestors, she certainly brought much to the tree I have worked hard and I know we are not IRISH, we are MANX , I long for the day when the BIBLE is found, but even so, FRANK TROWBRIDGE, MY FAMILY, MANY MEMBERS,genealogist did our homework, and I am a MANX descendant and I am very proud of my roots, which each day I find more and more about and that is where the hound in me keep sniffing and I do my homework.

Kindly yours,

Mrs. Rosa
