Dear Ms. Coakley,
It was presented to me in an e-mail from a post, ADAM CAINE HAD MARRIED AN ANNE CORLISS, In one of your postings BALLAUGH ON THE CORLETTE SIDE, you mentioned an ANN married to ADAM CAIN a DEED #42, DATED 13 Jan 1712/3 ( BAlLLAUGH)+ wife ANN sell for 2s to friend JAMES CAINE,(BALLUAGH), a small parcel of quarterland in the BALLAUGH called BOOLEY ADDA AND BOOLEY DOW, annual rent1d ADAM AND WIFE to leave a way for JAMES CAIN to pass from his own house to the KNOCKAN highway; Wtt Robt LOWEY, THOMAS CORLETT; court may 1713, THOMAS CORLETT: COURT MAY 1713.
THOMAS CORLETT WAS ANNE CORLETT''S FATHER,
YOU THEN STATE: THIS DEED CONFIRMS THAT ADAM'S WIFE WAS AN ANN AT THIS PERIOD- THE LATTER DEED OF 1736-38 GIVES HIS WIFE AS......ANN CALLISTER.
I then get a an ANN CORLISS, married to ADAM CAINE, I THINK as stated ADAM OF BALLAUGH MARRIED TWO OR MORE TIMES, ANNE CORLETT the first wife and ANN CALLISTER OR ANN CORRLISS, maybe a error in spelling,
You state PATRICK CAIN , NO MARRIAGE ( CAN BE FOUND( PROBABLEY) 1731-1733) MISSING FROM BALLAUGH RECORDS REGISTER.-however there are two children born to........ A.....PATRICK CAIN AND ALICE, WITH LIKELY A THIRD.
PATRICK CAIN-MICHAEL, which on the same day registered at BALLAUGH 17370623, that date matches our PATRICK SENIOR, who had a SON PATRICK JR AND SISTER ALICE. Who came into AUGUSTA COUNTY VIRGINIA. off ADAM CAIN AND ANN CORLETT and through land deeds, I find THOMAS CORLETT and KATHERINE, CATHERINE GAWN, who ADAM CAIN had land dealing with and GILBERT CORLETT whch was ANNE CORLETTS BROTHER,with land deals, and the CARRANS which JOHN. PATRCKS SON MARRIED ANN CARRAN, The CORLISS MAY BE A MISTAKE IN SPELLING. But throughout all the new data, I have been going through the CAIN'S AND CORLETT'S HAVE INTERTWINED SINCE 1551.
So with the CORLETT, CORLISS AND CALLISTER. Their are still many gaps with your findings and our tree.
Kindly yours,
Mrs. Rosa
