Hello. If the name is Lahmers (or Lamers) then they are most probably from around Relsberg or Hefersweiler/Berzweiler Germany. You can read some info on the Hefersweiler website. www.hefersweiler-berzweiler.de/html/english/english.html. My father always pronounced the name Lah-mus...even though it was spelled Lahmers. Jacob Lahmers emigrated to the US from Relsberg around 1849. And his father John and mother Dorthea did the same 2 years later.
