Attn: Norman Leece - The August 2003 issue of the IOMFHS Journal includes an article authored by yourself titled "The Corlett Family Tree" (page 104). In this article you make reference to the youngest daughter of John Corlett and Ellan Redpath, Helena, having "married a musician with a German band. He was named Lahmers which will be associated with musicians and dance bands in Douglas up to recent times."

I have discovered records of marriage between "Helena" (no Kate indicated) and Henry Lahmers, and as well other various records of the Lahmers family; some born in Germany, others the IOM.

Are you able to advise which Henry Lahmers Helena (Kate) was married to? There appears to be conflicting information in BMDs and census reports, indicating there was at least two Henry (Heinrich) Lahmers with connections to the IOM both born within a 5 year period of each other.
