Although it was a kind thought to direct people to an alternative website for Brian Lawson's indexes, Frances is right about this being an infringement of copyright. Brian's indexes now belong to the FHS, and your burials and wills indexes, for example, look like direct copies. The work compiling these indexes took up most of Brian's time over twelve years, and are certainly an original piece of work.

If you want the use of them on your website it is easy to include a link to take users directly to the source.

I know your intentions were good, and you were just unaware of the legislation.
