Hi Wayne , looks like you need to prove who Robert Hudgeon is , it seems you don't have his birth details , Lois has given us a clue , Hudgeon can be Hudgin, Hudson, Hodgson and Hutchin (and just about anything starting with H ), the only Robert with any of these surnames on the IGI born 1847 to 1867 with father William is :

Robert Hutchin , christened August 2 ,1856 , Lonan. mother Mary Cannan , on the 1871 census they are in Lonan as Hudgin , William 49 , Mary 44, Margaret Jane 18, Robert 14, Alice May 12, Elizabeth Sophia 8, Ann Elizabeth 4, Frances Emily 1.

By 1881 census William is 60 , and a widower with daughters Eleanor(??) 30 and Emily 11 (Frances ??) , Elizabeth Sophia and Frances Emily births are on the IGI as Hutchin. Robert and Catherine's son Robert born 26/11/1883 is on Brian Lawsons site births as Hodgson.

Appears wife Mary was buried January 2, 1876 as Hudgeon.

And a couple of silly questions , the death certificates of Robert and Olive Hudgeon ?? Not sure what you get from US and Canadian death certificates , but in the State of New South Wales in Austraila (which you can search for free and then buy online) , you would get all the information you require - Parents , POB , DOB , wife / wives , children etc etc

And have you tried to find a Marriage of Robert to the second Catherine in Canada 1910-1916 ?
