Hi Wayne , after posting my reply , I just searched " Olive Hudgeon " on Manx notebook , and found a story about John Cowley 1829-1915 , where as a young person he had gone to the US and ended up in the county ( ? State) of Iowa , cant see which year it is , but must be before 1915 . John had visied the IOM after his wife had died , and when he returned , his niece Mrs Olive Hudgeon and their (????) daughter Miss Margaret Olive Qualthrough .
So checked the updated IGI and found on the 1930 U.S. census , Henry H (??) Turvill and Margaret O Turvill (born IOM) at Madison, Dane, Wisconsin , Henry's father born England , mother New York .. no sign of Olive Hudgeon there .
Cheers
David
