With your help I've definitely ruled out the John / Mgt Bridson link as when searching for the Mine Accident, I inadvertently came across the Memorial Inscriptions for Marown for that family and their William Lace died whilst my William Lace was still having children! I'll see what else I can find for John and Eleanor and the address you've so helpfully provided.
