I'm a little bit stuck and wondered if someone was able to help me (again!).

I have a William Lace who married Frances Gell on the 1st July 1854 in Malew. The couple went on to have at least 11 children (of which myself and another board member are descendents from).

I'm trying to trace William Laces' parents and siblings. I think his fathers' name was John (according to marriage certificate). I don't have William Laces' date of birth either unfortunately.

I've sort of narrowed it down to two 'guesses':

John Lace and Margaret Bridson with a date of birth 19/02/1815 - although this would make William 39 at marriage.
John Lace and Elenor (sp) Gell (sometimes spelt as 'Eleanor' 'Gale') date of birth 05/08/1827 - Marown

A birth date of circa 1825 has been suggested so I could be hugely out with both. The 'family' all lived around the Foxdale area, and William Lace (who married Frances Gell) worked at the Lead Mines so again, suggestive of that sort of area.
