no I suspect the date is correct - the Daugherties were in Ballavastin from at least 1643 when a Wm compounded for a half quarterland (Wm also owned other land) thus tho their origin might have been in Ireland (tho documentation of such may be difficult to find) they were farming this part of Andreas for 200 years before departure - a Thomas age 1 (baptism Andreas 18410319) is shown in 1841 census, in 1851 John Sayle + wife are occupying Ballavastin and there is a deed of sale thro court May 1843 (Andreas NSS May 1843 #16) by Edmund Doughertdy to Jno Sayle
