Re: Lonan Liber Vast records 1700s

ex Frances' manxnotebook: - 1703: Abbeylands in Scinscoe: Tho Skillicorne snr and THOMAS his son for one quarter called Skinscoe of 11s 4d rent compounded for in 1666 fine then £4 12s 8d.....04 12 08
1703: Abbey Cottages in Kk Lonan: Tho Skillicorne snr and THOMAS his son - for a cottage of 6d rent not compounded for
1726: Abbeylands Rents, Scinscoe: - THO SKILLICORN 11s 4d / Thomas Skillicorn his son 5s 8d - part of 11s 4d Entered for half with his father by virtue of a contract of marriage dated 19th Nov 1724 lawfully confirmed by the court fine 15s 5½d
1726: Skinscoe Cottages: THOMAS SKILLICORN and his son 6d / Tho Skillicorn junr 3d in cetr - part of 6d Tho Skillicorn the grandfather is dead & the above Thomas is entered by contract from his father as before not compounded.

This succession of Thomas Skillicorns of Skinscoe fits those named in the Liber Vast entries, but Grauff and Rauff were not near Skinscoe -Grauff was from above Fairy Cottage going North through various farms including Ballacollister to the top of Rencell ["Lhergy Grawe"]. Rauff extended South from above Fairy Cottage to Garwick including Rah, Ballacannell, Ballabeg and Ballagawne. So maybe the Skillicorns were expanding there holdings in Lonan. Those Treens are/were? prime agricultural land, so where were the intacks? From the Lonan Comp Book Records in Frances' CD, there does not seem to be a subsequent record of Skillicorns in Grauff or Rauff until 1797 - John Skillicorn 5/- in Rauff / Ballagawne. Perhaps subsequent Liber Vast entries may help?
