I am the Grandson of Robert Bryson Newell who married Ann McCaa in the Isle of Man.My grandmother (Ann) died in Londonderry Ulster of meningitis. I could look up the date if you are interested.
However I think Agnes McCaa then lived with my grandfather in Derry. I am not sure whether as a housekeeper or wife but I think the former. One of the sisters filled this roll but I think it was Agnes
Robert Bryson Newell had two sons. Robert Howden Newell, My Father and Peter Brown Newell. I was told by my father that Robert Bryson Newell built the scarfell railway and I assume that is how he met Ann. They moved to Derry and he was employed as the permanent way engineer on the Lough Swilly railway. I would be pleased if you could fill in any gaps or errors.
