Hi Karen - Are you living fairly close to Bolton to visit the museum ? I am down in Hampshire so can't make the visit to the museum myself. Make sure you check out the archives for the Pendlebury Family of Barrow Bridge, Bolton and Horwich (ZZ/557). It includes the American Civil War autobiography of James Pendlebury which makes fascinating reading, he seems to have been a colourful character. My grandmother Priscilla (James' granddaughter) salvaged the original memoirs and typed them up and had them bound. My mother remembers seeing the originals in a bit of a state and they were falling apart so it is fortunate for us all that Priscilla had the foresight to make the copies! I have very little on John Tuck other than he died in Winnipeg, sorry, similarly no details on Edith's location in Australia, I would need to check with my mother. My sources on FH are from relatives and notes I took when much younger and making visits in IOM to elderly relatives.
I am happy to exchange personal emails with you or others on this message thread if it is appropriate to swap addresses via this site, though obviously the message board is a good way of sharing information. I have attempted to upload a photo you may not have seen taken at Bolton Hall, Isle of Man, the home of James Pendlebury (in the middle with the pipe) with his family around him. His wife Elizabeth is just in front of him wearing the bonnet. My gt grandfather Jabez is next to James, with the moustache and short beard.

Hopefully the picture has uploaded and others on this message can pick out their gt grandparents.
