Re: William Caine/Frances Radcliffe Andeas/ ch to

Thanks, Donna,

I had been given the suggestion of the 1799 baptism for Frances Radcliffe , German, April 4, 1799, or April 14, 1799, to Thomas Radcliff and Margaret Corlett, (by Carol Gosselin--thanks to her as well) but had neglected to correct my file.

In addition to that omission, there are still some glitches in this file:

1. IGI has two Williams bap to Wm/Fanny: There is a second William on 15 April 1841, an extracted record. (There is no 1841 William in the 1841 census of he family)

2. 1851 census gives Fanny's birth place as Douglas, but the 1799 baptism is in German

3. Can't seem to find burials for Wm and Fanny, and can't find in 1861 census. Did they emigrate?

4. Edward bp 31 Jan 1840 (extracted record) but 2 months old in 1841 census. Is the extracted record wrong?

5. John's taptism in 1827 fits with the 1841 IOM census, but not with the birth date given in the Manhattan Illinois Findagrave entry, nor with his age of 25 in the 1860 Cleveland census where he is living with his brother William and is 25 years old. (or the 1900 census of Manhattan where his birthdate is given as Nov 1838!)

Conclusion: Still messy!
