Re: My Family of Cain
In Response To: My Family of Cain ()

Dear Liz,
The CAIN/E'S intertwine historically on the Isle, Your CAIN/E'S have been known to have many that came from unexpected places. You do know now much, much more, I state that by our Tree your line came into our line by CATHERINE CAINE, 1700,s SO YOU MUST KNOW THAT DIGGING THAT FAR BACK took a very long time. How strange that you responded to me first on this Board, I still have your response and I thought suppose by chance you were in my line, we e-mailed and I sent you documents. Which I believe I sent the CAIN connection sheet, if not I will include it in your package. Where we think our line came from, which you state was not BALLAUGH OR KIRK MICHAEL, yet, it was, if you research futher enough back, you will see where we think our ancestors came from, is not where they actually did, they migrated to many areas on the Isle, and ENGLAnd and AUSTRALIA,CANADA, etc. It takes so long to come up with data in the early years, 1600's and 1700's, but your data is relatively early, the 1800's and 1900's, so you do have so much to go backward, and sometimes we can only go forward if we have done our foundation. The tree has roots, which you must dig deep into, and then the trunk and the branches, your soil may not be as you say, just know you have been given a wealth of data, and it should keep you busy, it took a village of family members to get me where I am , years and years, and years. So patience is hard, but sometimes one person can bring down your wall and then zipping away you go to break down wall after wall, it is the challenge of the hunt, you become almost addicted as to a drug, you have to know and the blood runs through the veins, and you will find ROBERT, but know our line crossed in the roots of the tree. So never give up, you can truly find a needle in a haystack if you look long enough.

Best wishes for all your new family members, there is always a genealogy hound in each generation, but you must groom that one, and I am grooming my grandaugher, I TELL HER FAMILY STORIES passed down through the ages, they intrigue her, and she will be the hound one day , surely you will have one who will keep the journey going.

Take care.

Ruth
