Sue, the middle name does indeed come from her death certificate dated June 22 1912, the day after she died.
The name is definitely spelled as Cockram rather than Cockran, although from handwriting samples it's easy to see why the mistranscription has arisen.
No joy with merchant navy records, not that I've been able to do much from the Liverpool end easily.
