This lady was my gt-aunt by marriage, and is described in the 1911 Census as living in Liverpool and having been born in Ramsey. According to the census she had been married five years, with no children, but I can find no trace of the marriage between her and my grandmother's brother, Samuel John Cockram, presumaby in about 1906.
There is an 1890 marriage in Liverpool (West Derby) between a Samuel Cochran and an Alice Margaret Thomas which might be within the realms of some transcription errors, apart from the fact that she would have been only 16 at the time and he a somewhat older 33.
Is there a better match to be found in Manx records? I can't find one, but the experts are out there somewhere!
