There is an 1890 marriage between a Samuel Cochran and an Alice Margaret (not Mary) Thomas which does look like a possibility, but there are also some drawbacks:
The names don't quite match
In the 1901 census Samuel describes himself as single. I haven't found him in the 1891 census yet.
In the 1911 census they refer to themselves as married five years.
A FreeBMD search for Alice Margaret Thomas born 1873 or 74 suggesting a possible in the south of England rather than the IoM.
In 1890 Samuel would have been 33, Alice 16 or 17. Not impossible by any means, but would have needed her parents' permission. Possibly a shotgun wedding, but again in the 1911 census they say no children.
So the answer to your question is possibly, but so far I'm not convinced 100 per cent
