Is this John Oates born Lonan, Isle of Man son of William Oates (b 1800 Braddan) & Mary Beck (b 1799 Ireland) ?

Has anyone seen his marriage to Ann Clague to verfify his father?

On the 1851 census there is a John Oats of the same age as a farm servant in Rushen with a Clague family. This JO is shown as born Malew and seems a more likely candidate for the 1851 marriage.

If the JO who emigrates to Australia is the son of William Oates and Mary Beck then I am very interested as Mary Beck's father is my 4xGt Grandfather and I would be keen to exchange info.
