Hi David
Sorry for the confusion. William Henry Cox was listed in the Brown's trade directory in 1894, I believe these directories took about 2 years to compile so he was possibly living on the Isle of Man from 1892 ish.
The William Henry Cox that was buried on the 4 November 1910 is the one that was living with Alice on the 1901 census Isle of Man, and I believe him to be the William Cox a son of Thomas Cox mentioned in my message of 23 February at 3.59 pm. The age at death as informed by Alice was 77 years (the William Cox son of Thomas was born 1833, baptised 1834).
Apologies also for the mix up with the parentage of John Brotherton Cox. I think I must have got muddled with the excitement of all this again, along with 2 lots of John Brotherton Coxes! You are quite correct the parents of John B Cox born 1838 Birmingham were a John B Cox born 1809 Birmingham and Eliza Rosbee.
May I thank you for volunteering to have the pages sent to you for 'opinion'. I don't have anyone to ask so it is very much appreciated to have your help. A member of this board has already given me their opinion last year which was valued.
I will email you the relevant information soon.
Many thanks
Ewan
