I am pretty certain that my ancestor was the James Callow Ropemaker. His profession is consistent in both the 1841(mis-translated as Dressmaker!) &1851 censuses. He had disappeared by 1861 so logically he is the 1852 death. This James was definitely married to Eleanor (Ellinor) (Ellen) nee Cain not Isabella.
The family name Cain was carried forward as a forename through the children of James and Eleanor's daughter Eleanor Jane when she married Thomas Beckett Entwistle in Blackburn.
I think the age 64 given in the 1851 census is more accurate than the rounded 50 in 1841 This would give his birth year as circa 1787 and possibly tie in with the 1788 christening.
I hope this helps
Tom
