Hi, As an avid scrapbooker , during my trip to the island soon I want to take photos of, amongst other things, the places where my ancestors lived . I hope someone can explain where these 3 'areas'/Farms? are - St Anne, Ballavar : Cronk d hooney (Spelling?): Ballaquinney Arbory, and Ballarhenny. All in the south of the island - Rushen, or Arbory. I found a Ballarhenny near the Ballakilpherick road but I think that is Arbory & it says Rushen on the census. In 1951 a John Kinvig was farmer 5 acres Balladoole. Would this be the farm where the Gawnes farmed when I was young or maybe they were tenant farmers for the larger Stevenson farm. If I have an idea where these dwellings were I can enquire further once in the locality. Thank you.
