The family member that I refer to as marrying a girl from the Isle of Man in 1877 was a boarding house keeper in Loch Promenade, as far as I know up to 1891. He was born in Birmingham and lived there as far as I know up to 1871.
The other family member did not come directly from Birmingham but was born there, from what I can tell he lived in Sussex prior to the Isle of Man.
I call them both 'family members' I know that the one that lived in Sussex was, and I have spent a time trying to see if these 2 individuals were related, but without any definite confirmation. It has been suggested to me that perhaps they were related if there were just a few people moving to the Isle of Man from Warwickshire. If however, there had been some reason that would make quite a number of people move to the island, then there is a possibility that they were not related.
The surname I am researching is Cox, I have both gentlemen on the 1881, 1891 and 1901. They had both died prior to the 1911 census.
