Hi Carol, I am connected to william walters mother Isabella Teer (born castlewellan county down c 1850) She married William Gilmore (c1851 IOM ) in Whitehaven ,cumberland 25 dec 1874. 3 daughters all born whitehaven. Margaret Jane 1876-1915. mrd william weir johnston 10 9 1898 in workington. Annie 1877-1881. Mary Isabella 1880-1918 mrd frederick cain 4 oct 1900 in workinton. William Gilmore (1851) died in 1882 and isabella remarried ( 28 5 1885) and they moved to workington shortly after. I didnt know of william walters existence til i 'came across' a marriage for w.w.gilmore and isabella m. corlett in workington 4 aug 1900. some of the info on the records rang bells, matched etc. So far i have little pieces of info, So William Gilmore (1851), i only found him on the 1881 census (RG11 piece 5187 folio 12 page 22) Whitehaven, Cumberland. iv recently found him in Braddan? as a child with his parents william and ann (German?)
