Hightons, Fyfes and Craines

I wonder if anyone has information about the Hightons, Fyfes and Craines who lived at Hampton Court for various times between 1837 and 1863?

In tracing the Highton family I discovered that George Highton my great-great grandfather bought Hampton Court, Braddan in 1837. In the 1841 census his father James Highton was living there along with James' two grandchildren - Mary Fyfe and Edward Fyfe (possibly also known as James Edward Highton?).

The Fyfe connection is through Elizabeth Highton (James' daughter) who married a Thomas Fyfe in Liverpool in 1816. They had at least two children but, as far as I know, only Mary Jane survived and married a Robert Craine on 24th Decemeber 1844 at Braddan.

The 1851 census has James Highton, Elizabeth Fyfe (now a widow), Robert Craine and James Edward Highton listed as still living at Hampton Court.

I haven't yet been able to check the 1861 census but think that none are still living there then.

I'm trying to find out when the Fyfes went to the Isle of Man, when Thomas died and what happened to James Edward Highton and Robert Craine.

I'm also curious about the origins of Highton House in Ballanard Road and, indeed, why the area was named Highton. I don't think there's any family connection but it's intriguing.

My thanks to anyone able to help.
