As you probably saw, Donna and I were floundering around looking for William and Robert Christian's probable ancestors.
Do you have the same information as I posted regarding Mark and his parents?
Which was:
Mark Christian & Margaret Kissack married 19 Nov 1814 in Maughold.
Mark son of William Christian & Ann Kelly bapt Maughold Parish Church 9 Jan 1785?
Mark CHRISTIAN, 69, Pt y vullin, buried Maughold 21 Feb 1854.

And do you know anything about Margaret Kissack from Lezayre?

The Christian family in Auckland seemed to have followed the same trail as we did with NZ Robert's ancestry, and Bob wrote at one stage that they had gone back several generations. As Christian is so difficult to research (so many families, and many same-forenames) I'd be very interested to see what they, or your Owen Christian, found for the earlier generations? I may be able to fill in some gaps for you from Maughold records.
