There are many books on the market about genealogy, but I would recommend TRACK DOWN YOUR ANCESTORS (DRAW UP YOUR FAMILY TREE) by Estelle Catlett. It is a good one. For Manx Ancestry, you also need Janet Narasinham's book, THE MANX FAMILY TREE. That is a MUST for Manx research. Details are on the Index page for the Isle of Man Family History Society.
