Goodness gracious, if you think it difficult researching your Manx ancestry when you live in Merseyside, spare a thought for those of us who live in Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada and South Africa. At least you can get on a Manx ferry and arrive in Douglas in the matter of an hour or three!!

However, having said that, it doesn't matter where you are in the world, the Internet has certainly made it much easier and certainly much quicker.

Why don't you email the Manx Museum in Douglas. They are sure to have information on Bridson name. Get someone to do a census lookup for you. Go to the family history section of this website and check the volunteers who are willing to do so. Certain conditions apply to lookups however, so check these.
