The captain of the Kirkham and his wife were from the Isle of Man. Their daughter Ethel was born on the ship in 1876-8. When she becaame of school age, she was left on the Isle of Man with an aunt. The Kirkham sank and both of Ethel's parents perished. The captain's name was Coole(Cool). I am seeking information on the Kirkham, particularly when and where it may have sunk.

I am also looking for information on Ethel Coole. She marries Robert Leece in the early 1890's. He was from the parish of Onchan or Braddan. He is listed
in the Abbeylands Methodist Sunday School in 1883.
