Re: William JOUGHIN married to Jane TEARE

Pardon me for interposing here, but this could be my last chance, as my Internet service provider tell me that the system I am presently connected to will cease after today, and the replacement system is not yet functioning properly!
It might be that you and Lorna are connected, but it is unlikely that a connection through a common Joughin ancestor will ever be found, as you and Lorna come from two different lines that can be followed back independently to the earliest detailed records. Yours goes back in Andreas, and Lorna's (and mine) at Cronkbane, Bride. There are ways of linking the two by marriage, but these do not provide a blood relationship.
Lorna's ancestor Jane Teare came from Keilthushtag (that's one spelling of it, anyway), Andreas, and was baptised at Andreas in 1819, the daughter of Philip Teare and Christian Cowle. Since the greatest concentration of Teares seems to come in Andreas, we can expect some duplication of the more popular names.
