Cottages of Castletown, 1506

Taken from an appendix to 'Excavations in Castletown, Isle of Man, 1989-1992

In the Parish of Saint Lupus (Malew) from the Derby Paper reference 1715-2. List of the Cottages of Castletown in 1506.
The 1511 list was transcribed by T. Talbot and published (posthumously by his daughter) in 1925; that list contained against some holdings 'leased for seven years this being the sixth' confirming that this 1506 list was the first year of a new valuation.
