John Stowell, 1762-1799
For Biography see Manx
Worthies p97;
High Bailiff Moore had the intention
of producing an annotated edition of his works - the MSS of which is in the
Manx National Heritage Library [Manx Museum] - I have had access to
an incomplete draft copy of this which forms the basis of several pages which
are linked to the publication - Moore's Introduction
gives some addtional background and would appear formed the basis of the extended
entry in William Cubbon's Bibliography
