A.N.Laughton

Not Manx, came with father, Edward Laughton from Tickhill, Yorkshire, to the Island in 1830's - in 1841 census found at Harris Terrace Douglas with parents Edward and Laura and siblings Emma, Frederick and Sophie.

Active in Manx Bar - eventually became High Bailiff of Peel, reputedly higher honours were refused him because of an earlier court case in which he successfully opposed the Lieutenant Governor.
