Artist and Painter. Brother of the considerably more famous sculptor Joseph Swynnerton - son of Charles Swinnerton, monumental mason, - went to India c.1889 (possibly with his brother Charles who was a Government Chaplain there).
Had an interest in Archaeology and antiquarian matters, contributing several papers to IoMNH&ASoc though reading between the lines of his introduction to some collected papers, seems to have not got on with P M C Kermode.
Contributions to the History of the IoM Simla 1909/1910
