Leader, Mr. W. CUBBON.
Thirty-five members and 12 visitors assembled at Tromode Bridge, and visited Cashtal ny Ward on the Baldwin river. The three terraces and walls were inspected. The owner, Mr. Kaneen, had met with stone graves in the meadows below, and flint implements had been collected near by, The site of the Keeill, near the house, was visited, At the house was a stone with a hollow in the form of a human. foot, found in pulling down a cairn or mound close by. This the Leader believed to have been a `swearing stone,' probably used by Celtic chieftains. A scribed stone in a gap was also pointed out.
The remains of Keeills on Ballaoates, Camlork and Cronk Rule were inspected, and, crossing the stream at Trollaby, the Keeill on Ballafreer was visited,
The following were elected members: --Mrs. R. T. McGeagh, Mrs. Ashburner, Miss Curphey, Messrs, T. Dodd, C. Callister and T. B. Cowley.
