The following were elected members of the Society:Miss Howard, Mr. H. A. Eason and Mr. J. R. Drinkwater. Among presentations to the Society's Museum was a small collection of flowering plants, by Mr. G. A, Holt, gathered by him in the Island the previous summer.
In the Author's absence, the Secretary read a contribution by Mr. G. F. Clucas, an 'Account of the Tynwald Hill Ceremony,' which he had found in the Hist, MSS. Commission's 14th Report, Part 4, No. 778. This was much older than any hitherto published, and, therefore, of considerable local interest.
Mr. F. Swvnnerton sent a ' Note on some Ancient Trees below Strandhall,' which was read and discussed with some interest,
