There being no regular Pacquet from this Island makes the receipt of a letter
uncertain which is the reason I take the liberty to inclose a Duplicate of one
I had the honour to write you the 29th ultimo relating the Troops, I would be
much oblig'd my letters hereafter were forwarded by way of Whitehaven that being
the most speedy and safe conveyance - One I received from Mr Lowndes dated the
23d Septr by way of Liverpool, I did not receive until the 24th ultimo
