The following notes are based on examination of the Disbusement Accounts which name all those receiving a salary or pension; they run from 1670 to 1765 but with a gap 1674-1682. The sums here are Quarterly amounts (payable on the traditional Quarter days); after 1700 pensions were given as annual amounts in the accounts. I'm not sure why the various recipients were selected for a pension, nor how the amounts were determined - some appear to be widows of soldiers but others appear to have no connection.
Moore has a brief discussion of wages - by 1691 the wages of a farm labourer were set by statute as 12d/day if no food was provided thus it can be seen that few if any of these pensions are particularly generous
