We whose names ensue being 4 men sworne a Jury by the Honble Govrs order to inquire and find out who within the parish of Kk Marown are not bound Tenants to any miline [Miln] and to make report thereof to his Honr.
First of all James Kelley Wm Moor and Tho Caine Baron Tenants sworne & examined say that they never heard that they or any of the occupants of the barony within the parish of Kk Marown were bound Tenants to any miln, and further more they acknowledg'd themselves tenants to no miln.
Wm Kelley Baron Tenant acknowleg'd likewise that he was to no Miln, yet because he had a machine erected by himself on his owne Tenemt, he would not give his oath till before the Court.
John Cottier sworne and examined saith that he never heard himself or predecessors bound Tenants to any miln, but that he heard his father say that he gott his corn ground at miln Glanne-grow, a decayed miln on the tenemt of Ballnakilley for halfe Grist, and that part of the sd milns rent did belong to himself, and further saith not.
Hen: Kelley sworne and examined saith that he never heard that he was tenant to any milne and that he acknowledged himself tenant to no miln and further saith not.
Hen Moor sworne and examined saith that he never heard himself or predecessors bound tenants to any miln, neither did he acknowledge himself to be, and further saith not.
Jon Kermod sworne and examined saith that he heard by the milners that he and predecessors were tenants to Caine's miln, and that others said they were tenants to Ballnicholas miln, and that he heard that if Ballnicholas miln were built they would be griding their corn there.

Capt Jon Quilliam sworne and examined saith that he knew not himself tenant bound to any miln, nor did he acknowledge himself to be till he knew further and further saith that he heard that 4 quarterland beyond the mountain were tenants to Ballanicholas miln; and further saith not.
John Fargher cottiger sworne and examined saith that he knows not himself tenant to any miln, but he used to grind his corn some times at Caine's miln sometimes at Miln Oates and Bopps Miln and further saith not. Oates Cretney one of the Jury and a Cottiger sworne and examined saith that he knows not himself Tenants to any miln, and he grinds his corn at severall milns wthout any check & further saith not.
Wm Kermod sworne and examined saith that by his holding as tis described from the tenement of Ballnicholas he is tenant (as he heard) to the sd Ballanicholas Miln and further saith not.
James Clague sworne and examined saith that he heard he was tenant to no miln because he paid miln rent; and further saith not.
John Cottier and Robt Kewley sworne and examined saith that they heard that Willm Kelly of Ballayomy and Willm Cotter under the hill both of Kk Marowne, were tenants to the sd Caine's Miln and further saith not.
We having taken the depositions & examinations aff[ixe]d do deem & judge that James Kelly & all other that live on the Barony in the parish of Kk Marown & also Jon Cottier of Balley yemmy Hen Kelly of Bally Homy James Clague of Crosby Jon Quilliam of Quillin gill in all holding 7 quarters of land: & James Clague a parcell of intack: also Wm Moor Ary Kellag Jon Fargher Ary jorie & Oats Britney of Stuck-a-dow intack holden are free, & tenants to no miln wch we give as our answer this 3d of Feb 1704/5
The Barony is the small Barony of St Trinian; There are few records of land holdings.
