The Manx Museum holds a large archive of papers presented by the Quayle Family of Bridge House Castletown to the Manx Museum in the 1930s and known as the Bridge House Collection - several generations of this family occupied key roles in the civil and commercial life of the Island.
William Cubbon drew on some of these in his "Previously Unpublished Documents".
Though the wording and spelling is that of the original, I have in places altered the capitalisation common in documents of this period - I have in a few places added punctuation and occasional italicisation and expansion of contractions to clarify the text. At present none of these documents are digitised. The Notes section appended to the documents is my own comment and cross-linkage to other documents.
