Ballasalla is a large and long established village on the east bank of the Silverburn opposite Rushen Abbey to the North of Castletown. The road exiting bottom right is the Castletown road - the T-junction is the incoming road from Douglas meeting the Castletown to Peel road following the Silverburn.

Looking NNW along Peel road just after the T-junction - the now demolished Wesleyan Church was not built until 1893
