is a stream running through the farm. The name O'Doole not

surname became Quane later, by the substitution of
mac for o, v. Ballaquane. One of the quarterlands in 1703 was
Balla Weene (balawEn), which was an aspir-ated form. This
surname becomes Doyne, Dowan, Dwane, etc., in Ireland.
