Note the rental book had seven columns - one for Rent (in pence) and the others for Wheat,Barley,Oats,Lambs, Geese and Hens - presumably a hangover from the days when tenants paid in kind. Boon days are days when free service must be given (e.g. maintenance of bridges etc)
